On this page you can find information about support for farmers and rural stakeholders under the CAP in Austria

Support for farmers and rural stakeholders under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in Austria is managed in the 2023-2027 period nationally through their CAP Strategic Plan (CSP), funded under the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) and national contributions.

The CAP 2023-2027 follows a performance and results-based approach built around ten objectives, which frame the EU countries’ CAP Strategic Plans. These combine targeted interventions addressing specific needs and delivering on EU-level objectives.

CSP Documents

The full CSP for Austria can be found on the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Regions and Water Management website.

A short summary of the key points of the Austrian CSP is available on the CAP at a glance section of the European Commission website.

More information on the CAP is available in the CAP Overview section of the EU CAP Network website.

Austrian National Network

The Austrian CAP Network supports the implementation of the CAP Strategic Plan in the period from 2023 to 2027. The highly dynamic times call for systemic and multidisciplinary dialogue, cooperation and innovation to address future-relevant issues of agriculture, forestry and rural areas.

The National Network support unit empowers and connects people and organisations across existing disciplinary and system boundaries so that they become active shapers of rural areas and actively steer the transformation process.
