Activities

A (completed) business plan for each participant,

— An area plan at the level of the cooperative,

— Accompanying participants in the implementation at individual level,

— Accompanying participants in the implementation in a group,

— Escorting participants by external consultants,

— Monitoring and analysis data detailed in results,

— Communication plan and its elaboration (films, booklet),

— Several small meetings at the participating companies per year,

— Four major meetings covering the project period,

— Annual interim reports and a final report,

— Extensification by introducing various measures among participants, such as expanding areas, reducing cows, reducing manure on land and reducing milk production.

- Extensivering door bij deelnemers verschillende maatregelen te treffen, zoals uitbreiding areaal, minder koeien, verminderen van mest op het land en verlagen van melkproductie.

1 Practice Abstracts

Cooperation of 5 organic dairy farms located in Natura2000 transitional areas such as Veluwe, Inner Field and Eastern Vechtplassen aimed at extensifying the current farm with the aim of reducing current nitrogen emissions for the restoration of nature and biodiversity.

The location of the participating plots of the consortium is more than 50 % in an N2000 transitional area. At least 50 % of each dairy farm is also located within the N2000 transitional area. The total area of the cooperative is 390.4 ha. The target average nitrogen excretion (GSD) in kg N/ha/holding is 100 kg N/ha for Mts De Highlands, Mts Van de Voort and Panhuis, and 150 kg N/ha for J.A., C.E. van Ruiswijk VOF and Mts S. Vels and H. Vels-Middorp.

The management measures to be taken in these areas contribute to this and are well in line with existing area plans of the Veluwe, the Inner Field and the Eastern Vechtplassen.

Samenwerkingsverband van 5 biologische melkveehouderijbedrijven gelegen in Natura2000 overgangsgebieden als de Veluwe, het Binnenveld en de Oostelijke Vechtplassen is gericht op extensivering van de het huidige bedrijf met als doel om de huidige stikstofemissie te reduceren ten behoeve van herstel van natuur en biodiversiteit.

De ligging van de deelnemende percelen van het samenwerkingsverband ligt voor meer dan 50% in een N2000 overgangsgebied. Ook elke melkveehouderij ligt voor minimaal 50% binnen het N2000 overgangsgebied. Het totaal areaal van het samenwerkingsverband bedraagt 390,4 ha. De beoogde gemiddelde stikstofdierexcretie (GSD) in kg N/ha/bedrijf bedraagt <100 kg N/ha voor Mts De Hooilanden, Mts Van de Voort en Panhuis en < 150 kg N/ha voor J.A. & C.E. van Ruiswijk VOF en Mts S. Vels en H. Vels-Middendorp.

De te nemen beheermaatregelen in deze gebieden dragen hieraan bij en sluiten goed aan bij bestaande gebiedsplannen van de Veluwe, het Binnenveld en de Oostelijke Vechtplassen.
