Context
The Trobat variety of Vitis vinifera is an ancient variety cultivated in the region of the Costers del Segre DO and is currently in the process of recovery.
The project will study the behaviour of Trobat from both the agronomic and oenological point of view, with a view to creating new market opportunities with high added value for the sector.
The study of the variety will also provide sufficient information for its future inclusion on the list of authorised varieties of the Schedule of conditions for the DO in the future.

1. Introduction of new products in the market: single-variety organic wines produced using Trobat, a grape variety that was historically widely cultivated all over the DO region, and is currently in danger of disappearing.
2. Genetic enhancement of the production potential of the DO, with improved classification of a variety linked to the region, providing the end consumer with a more accurate idea of the diverse terroirs in the DO.
3. Enhancement of the tools available to the sector, wineries and wine producers, to obtain products with greater added value.

1. Introducción de nuevos productos en el mercado: vinos ecológicos monovarietales de Trobat, variedad de Vitis vinifera ampliamente cultivada históricamente por todo el territorio de la DO y actualmente en proceso de recuperación.
2. Enriquecimiento genético del potencial productivo de la DO, con una mejor tipificación de una variedad ligada al territorio, que permita dar al consumidor final una idea más precisa de los diversos "terroirs" de la DO.
3. Enriquecimiento de las herramientas a disposición del sector, bodegas y viticultores, para obtener productos de un mayor valor añadido.

Action 1
Oenological routes for winemaking with the Trobat variety. The implementation of oenological procedures for young red and rosé winemaking wines will be studied.
Action 2
Establishment of agronomic routes to evaluate the variety's adaptation to different soils and meteorological conditions, and to determine the best cultural practices in both dry and irrigated farming and in organic farming.
Action 2.1. Classification of soils in plots.
Action 2.2. Quantification of the vegetative and productive development of the vine.
Action 2.3. Monitoring of the health of plots.
Action 2.4. Collection of agronomic data.

Dissemination of the results.

Itinerarios enológicos para la vinificación de la variedad Trobat. Se estudiará la implantación de procedimientos enológicos para la vinificación como tinto joven y rosado.
Acción 2
Establecimiento de itinerarios agronómicos para evaluar la adaptación de la variedad a diferentes suelos y condiciones meteorológicas, así como para conocer cuáles son las mejores prácticas culturales tanto en secano como regadío y el cultivo en ecológico.

Difusión de los resultados.
