1 Practice Abstracts

In this Living Lab, an arable farmer and a livestock farmer work together with Lentiz MBO to develop a realistic form of nature-inclusive circular agriculture based on 'high-protein feed for manure' for the South Holland Delta, with less artificial fertilizer and emissions, more biodiversity, resilient crops and cultivation systems, connection with the public and a good earning model. This integrated approach and collaboration is the core of the innovation.

With knowledge input from the Louis Bolk Institute and Sovon Vogelonderzoek Nederland, cooperation with the local association Natuur- en landschapsbescherming Goeree-Overflakkee and agricultural education at Lentiz MBO in Middelharnis, knowledge development, application and dissemination are solidly guaranteed.

The nature-inclusive Trial Garden in strip farming complete with effective nature elements thus serves as an inspiring, feasible and scalable example for fellow agricultural entrepreneurs, citizens and politicians in the South Holland PPLG core area of Zuid-Hollandse Delta, and beyond.
