Regarding the results of "Obtaining the first visual structural classification system for beech and the first structural classification system using sonic techniques" it is indicated that: the visual classification work and the proposal for modification of the applied regulations were carried out. Also the mechanical classification tests using MTG Brookhuis equipment and subsequently the mechanical tests for the determination of resistant properties were carried out. Finally, the analysis of the data and statistical adjustments necessary for the assignment of resistant classes according to EN 338 standard was developed. All these activities gave rise to different technical documentation with different objectives:
1) A practical guide for the classification of beech wood, where classification criteria for beech wood are provided both from a structural point of view and for wood intended for use in carpentry.
2) Technical report on visual and mechanical classification standards addressed to the European committee CN/TC 124 for the inclusion of beech wood and the mechanical classification system developed in the European regulations.
The aim is therefore to fill the gap resulting from the absence of classification systems for sawn beech wood for structural and carpentry use, which in turn will have an impact on the existence of a demand and therefore a supply of classified beech wood (quality wood).
En referencia a los resultados de "Obtención del primer sistema de clasificación estructural visual de haya y del primer sistema de clasificación estructural con técnicas sónicas" se indica que: fueron realizados los trabajos de clasificación visual y propuesta de modificación de la normativa aplicada, los ensayos de clasificación mecánica mediante equipo MTG Brookhuis, posteriormente los ensayos mecánicos para la determinación de propiedades resistentes, y finalmente el análisis de los datos y ajustes estadísticos necesarios para la asignación de clases resistentes según norma EN 338. Todas estas actividades dieron lugar a diferente documentación técnica de distinto objetivo:
1) Una guía práctica para la clasificación de madera de haya, donde se han proporcionan criterios de clasificación para madera de haya tanto desde un punto de vista estructural como para madera destinada a usos en carpintería.
2) Informe técnico de estándares de clasificación visual y mecánica dirigido al comité europeo CN/TC 124 para la inclusión de la madera de haya y el sistema de clasificación mecánico desarrollado en la normativa europea.
Se pretende con ello por tanto: cubrir el vacío correspondiente a la ausencia de sistemas de clasificación de madera aserrada de haya para uso estructural y en carpintería, el cual a su vez repercutirá en la existencia de una demanda y por tanto oferta de madera clasificada (madera de calidad) de haya.
