Objectives

The objective of this project is to design and test mulching opers adapted to low-cost manual and mechanical seed drills. They will allow minimal disturbance of the soil while keeping mulching out as little as possible to prevent weeds from choking vegetables.
The purpose of this project is the development of prototypes in collaboration with vegetable growers in MSV (market gardening in living soil) from the beginning of the project in order to identify and precisely define the technical needs and to disseminate the plans in open source allowing self-construction with regard to the reduced investment capacity of market gardeners.
