Context
Optimaal Met Natuurlijk Kapitaal biedt akkerbouwers praktijkgerichte kennis op het gebied van natuurinclusieve landbouw middels demonstraties, workshops, factsheets en individuele coaching. Akkerbouwers krijgen inzicht in de betekenis en voordelen van natuurinclusieve landbouw en concrete maatregelen aangereikt om hun bedrijf economisch sterk natuurinclusief te maken. Alle facetten van het bedrijf en de omgeving komen aan bod, zoals techniek, teeltgerichte toepassingen, wisselwerking tussen ecologie en teelt, kosten en baten.
Objectives
Optimaal Met Natuurlijk Kapitaal offers arable farmers practical knowledge in the field of nature-inclusive agriculture through demonstrations, workshops, fact sheets and individual coaching. Arable farmers gain insight into the meaning and benefits of nature-inclusive agriculture and are provided with concrete measures to make their company economically strong and nature-inclusive. All facets of the company and the environment are discussed, such as technology, cultivation-oriented applications, interaction between ecology and cultivation, costs and benefits.

- The soil and a good crop rotation form the basis: how do you build a good crop plan (including the use of deep-rooting crops, a broader crop plan), different forms of soil cultivation that, among other things, preserve soil life, what does a soil need, points of attention.

- De bodem en een goede gewasrotatie vormen de basis: hoe bouw je een goed bouwplan (o.a. gebruik van diepwortelende gewassen, ruimer bouwplan), verschillende vormen van bodembewerking waarbij o.a. het bodemleven gespaard blijft, wat heeft een bodem nodig, aandachtspunten.

Nature-inclusive agriculture requires a package of measures; on the one hand, there are many possibilities for gradually growing in a nature-inclusive way, on the other hand, it is not clear-cut and a different approach is needed for each company. Good management is complex; the soil alone has many components and factors that have an influence. Moreover, every soil is different, even within the plot. It is a quest for both growers and other parties in the chain and policy makers. Some measures are not yet ready for practice or require adjustments in, for example, policy, but growers can already get started with nature-inclusive agriculture, a win-win for business operations and the environment. This starts with a clear picture of what nature-inclusive agriculture is and translating this knowledge into concrete measures, into benefits for the company that fit within the current boundary conditions.
The project, Optimal with Natural Capital, offers arable farmers practical knowledge in the field of nature-inclusive agriculture. Arable farmers gain insight into the meaning and benefits of nature-inclusive agriculture and are provided with concrete measures to achieve these benefits. All aspects of the company and the environment are discussed, namely technology (including precision techniques and soil management), raw materials, cultivation-oriented applications, effects on cultivation and nature, costs and benefits. From this background, nature-inclusive agriculture is further promoted and made applicable for Groningen arable farming, including customization per company. The result is an economically strong sector and strengthening of the agroecological values of the Groningen countryside.
Natuurinclusieve landbouw vraagt om een pakket van maatregelen; enerzijds zijn er veel mogelijkheden om stapsgewijs natuurinclusief te telen, anderzijds is het niet eenduidig en voor elk bedrijf weer een andere aanpak nodig. Goed beheer is complex; alleen al de bodem kent veel onderdelen én factoren die van invloed zijn. Bovendien is iedere bodem anders, zelfs binnen het perceel. Het is een zoektocht voor zowel telers als andere partijen uit de keten en beleidsmakers. Sommige maatregelen zijn nog niet praktijkrijp of behoeven aanpassingen in bijv. beleid maar ook nu al kunnen telers aan de slag met een natuurinclusieve landbouw, een win-win voor de bedrijfsvoering en de omgeving. Dat begint met een duidelijk beeld van wat natuurinclusieve landbouw is en het vertalen van deze kennis naar concrete maatregelen, naar voordelen voor het bedrijf die passen in de huidige randvoorwaarden. Dit project, Optimaal Met Natuurlijke Kapitaal, biedt akkerbouwers praktijkgerichte kennis op het gebied van natuurinclusieve landbouw (demonstraties, workshops, factsheets en individuele coaching). Akkerbouwers krijgen inzicht in de betekenis, voordelen van natuurinclusieve landbouw én concrete maatregelen aangereikt om deze voordelen eruit te halen. Alle facetten van het bedrijf en de omgeving komen aan bod, te weten techniek (o.a. precisietechnieken en bodembeheer), grondstoffen, teeltgerichte toepassingen, effecten op de teelt en natuur, kosten en baten. Vanuit deze achtergrond wordt natuurinclusieve landbouw verder onder de aandacht gebracht en toepasbaar gemaakt voor de Groningse akkerbouw, incl. maatwerk per bedrijf. Resultaat is een economisch sterke sector en versterking van agroecologische waarden van het Groningse platteland.
