Objectives

The project's main objective is to improve the sustainability of Mediterranean agroecosystems by developing irrigation management systems capable of guaranteeing the productivity of the area's crops under the limitation of existing water resources. In this way, the consumption of existing water resources is optimized with the consequent energy savings, reducing the contamination of groundwater by nitrates and agrochemicals, minimizing soil erosion and respecting the environment.
