GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES IN THE MANAGEMENT OF MOUNTAIN MEADOWS
BUENAS PRÁCTICAS AGRARIAS EN EL MANEJO DE LOS PRADOS DE MONTAÑA
Activities
The different activities that are planned to be carried out in order to obtain the predictive model that will lead us to have a manual of good agricultural practices for the management of mowing meadows in the Pirineo are:
1. Design of field work and selection of farms and control meadows.
2. Sampling of forage in meadows to obtain data of production, harvest extractions and ensilage.
3. Sampling of manure and slurry from livestock farms.
4. Sampling of meadows´soil.
5. Analysis of samples of fodder, soil, manure and slurry.
6. Calibration of the predictive model.
7. Simulations of the predictive model and preparation of the manual of good practices based on the analysis of all the results obtained.
Activities
Las diferentes actividades que se prevé realizar para conseguir obtener el modelo predictivo que nos lleve a tener un manual de buenas prácticas agrarias para el manejo de los prados de siega del Pirineo son:
1. Diseño de trabajo de campo y selección de explotaciones y prados de control.
2. Toma de muestras de forraje en prados para obtener datos de producción, extracciones de cosecha y ensilabilidad.
3. Toma de muestras de estiércol y purín de las explotaciones ganaderas.
4. Toma de muestras de suelo de los prados
5. Análisis de muestras de forraje, suelo estiércol y purín.
6. Calibración del modelo predictivo
7. Simulaciones del modelo predictivo y elaboración del manual de buenas prácticas en base al análisis de todos los resultados obtenidos.

El objetivo final del proyecto es la elaboración de un manual de buenas prácticas agrarias para el manejo
de los prados de siega del Pirineo a partir de los resultados obtenidos en los modelos predictivos de
simulación de su cultivo. Se han cumplido los objetivos previstos para este año de selección de las
explotaciones que proporcionarán los datos de partida y de la revisión de los modelos predictivos de
simulación. Actualmente se está en un proceso de calibración de estas aplicaciones. Según el modelo
finalmente elegido se procederá en las próximas anualidades a realizar los trabajos de campo para
completar los parámetros de los que no se dispone información y que deben ser suministrados al modelo

Las recomendaciones de gestión incluirán: momento de siega, fertilización, método de conservación de la hierba y, momento y carga ganadera del pastoreo.
