Digital klassificering av slaktade nötkreatur och får enligt EUROP-skalan
Objectives
The project aim is to develop and test a solution for digital classification of slaughtered cattle and sheep according to the EUROP scale. The solution means that we can use 3D cameras to digitally classify slaughtered cattle and sheep according to the EUROP scale. This system eliminates the need for visual inspection and results in a exact and more effective assessment/classification of the carcass.
Objectives
Projektet syftar till att ta fram och testa en prototyp av en lösning som digitalt kan klassificera slaktade nötkreatur och får enligt EUROP-skalan. Lösningen innebär att vi med 3D-seende kameror digitalt kan klassificera slaktade nötkreatur och får enligt EUROP-skalan. Systemet eliminerar behovet av visuell inspektion och ger en exakt och mer effektiv bedömning/klassificering av slaktkroppen.
Activities
The solution will strengthen competitiveness throughout the whole meat processing chain. The slaughterhouses can cut costs by eliminating a labor intensive part of the process. Breeders, slaughterhouses and others in the ensuing parts of the meat processing chain get better conditions for working with sensory quality and traceability, which in turn creates possibilities for product diversification and price increases.
Activities
Lösningen kommer att stärka konkurrenskraften för aktörer inom hela köttkedjan. Slakterierna får kostnadsbesparingar genom att ett personalintensivt moment i slaktprocessen elimineras. Uppfödare, slakterier och det efterföljande ledet får bättre förutsättningar att jobba med sensorisk kvalitet och spårbarhet, vilket i sin tur skapar möjligheter för produktdifferentiering och prishöjningar.
