Objectives

The "KoRinNa" project stands for cooperation between mountain and arable farms in the setting of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park and pursues the goal of joint fattening of calves or beef cattle from organic dairy farming. The aim is to optimally combine the respective site conditions.

Das geplante Projekt „KoRinNa“ steht für Kooperationen zwischen Berg- und Ackerbaubetrieben in der Kulisse des Naturparks Südschwarzwald und verfolgt das Ziel einer gemeinsamen Mast von Kälbern bzw. Mastrindern aus der Bio-Milchviehhaltung. Dabei sollen die jeweiligen Standortvoraussetzungen optimal miteinander verbunden werden.

Activities

Keeping cattle on conservation-relevant mountain pastures in summer and on arable farms in winter can resolve this conflict. Methodologically, researchers from grassland management, nature conservation, animal husbandry as well as economics will investigate farm cooperations in order to establish and publicise a value chain for such beef cattle together with the other actors in the OPG.

Activities

 Die Rinderhaltung auf naturschutzrelevanten Bergweiden im Sommer und auf Ackerbaubetrieben im Winter kann diesen Konflikt auflösen. Methodisch werden Forscher aus der Grünlandwirtschaft, dem Naturschutz, der Tierhaltung sowie der Ökonomie die Betriebskooperationen untersuchen, um gemeinsam mit den weiteren Akteuren der OPG eine Wertschöpfungskette für solche Mastrinder aufzubauen und bekannt zu machen, die als Blaupause für andere Regionen dienen kann
