Objectives
The aim is to develop new and innovative cultivation methods for highly productive apple growing adapted to northern climates, with the aim of creating new economic opportunities, better competitiveness and long-term sustainability for existing as well as new agriculture and horticulture through economic and environmental diversification. The goal is to plant 10 ha of apple orchard. The project will achieve critical mass, security and more secure profitability for the farmers who participate through investment and advisory support in the start-up phase.

Syftet är att utveckla nya och innovativa odlingsmetoder för högproduktiv odling av äpple anpassad till nordliga klimat med syfte att skapa nya ekonomiska möjligheter, bättre konkurrenskraft och långsiktig hållbarhet för befintligt och nytt jord- och trädgårdsbruk genom ekonomisk och miljömässig diversifiering. Målet är att anlägga 10 ha äppelodling. Projektet ska åstadkomma kritisk massa, trygghet och säkrare lönsamhet för de jordbrukare som deltar genom investerings- och rådgivningsstöd i uppstartsfasen.
Activities
Commercial apple cultivation for further processing has never been conducted as far up north as in this project. If it turns out well, it will open up a completely new agricultural branch for agricultures in northern Sweden, Scandinavia and Europe.

Kommersiell äppelodling för vidare förädling har aldrig bedrivits så nordligt som i detta projekt. Om det faller väl ut så öppnar det upp en helt ny jordbruksgren för lantbruk i norra Sverige, Skandinavien och Europa.
