Objectives
Measure A - Concept development: The aim of the project is to analyse and design the necessary adaptations as well as optimisations of the complete process chain of grassland management, from cultivation and harvesting technology to storage (silage) and automated feeding into insect fattening. The aim is also the preparation of a concept for the development of the optimal suitable plant technology for processing and automated feeding. In addition, it shall be find out which feed mixed with grass silage best meets the requirements of the insect larvae.
Objectives
Maßnahme A - Konzepterstellung: Das Ziel des Projektes ist die Analyse und Konzeption der erforderlichen Anpassungen sowie Optimierungen der kompletten Prozesskette der Grünlandbewirtschaftung von der Anbau- und Erntetechnik, über die Lagerung (Silage) bis zur automatisierten Einbringung in die Insektenmast. Bei der Aufbereitung und automatisierten Einbringung ist im Konzept die Entwicklung der optimalen geeigneten Anlagentechnologie vorgesehen. Darüber hinaus soll herausgefunden werden, welche Futtermittel-Rezeptur mit Grassilage den Ansprüchen der Insektenlarven am besten gerecht wird.
Activities
For the evaluation of the individual process steps, the following criteria are to be compared to obtain a concept for the entire process chain:
- Location, plant stock and soil conditions
- Cutting (time, frequency)
- Fertilisation (amount, type, nutrient ratio, etc.)
- Processing in the field (mowing, turning, swathing, chopping)
- Storage (silo, silage hose, silage bales, tower silo)
- Automated conveying and processing (= technology development)
- Recipe components of the feed for insects with > 50% grass content
- Fattening period depending on the feed recipe
Activities
Für die Bewertung der einzelnen Prozessschritte sollen die nachfolgenden Kriterien verglichen werden, um ein Konzept für die gesamte Prozesskette zu erhalten:
- Standort, Pflanzenbestand und Bodenbeschaffenheit
- Schnitt (Zeitpunkt, Häufigkeit)
- Düngung (Menge, Art, Nährstoffverhältnis etc.)
- Bearbeitung auf dem Feld (Mähen, Wenden, Schwaden, Häckseln)
- Lagerung (Fahrsilo, Siloschlauch, Silageballen, Hochsilo)
- Automatisierte Förderung und Aufbereitung (= Technologieentwicklung)
- Rezepturbestandeile des Futtermittels für die Insekten mit > 50% Grasanteil
- Mastdauer in Abhängigkeit der Futterrezeptur
Contexte
The decline in cattle farming in Bavaria requires alternative uses for the management of grassland in agriculture. Many grassland areas are only managed due to the incentive of high area premiums. On the otherhand, there is a shortage of high-quality protein feed, which leads to high Import. The larva of Hermetia lllucens can be a piece of the puzzle here and convert grassland fodder of limited use into needed high-quality protein fodder.
Der Rückgang der Rinderhaltung in Bayern erfordert Nutzungsalternativen bei der Bewirtschaftung von Grünland in der Landwirtschaft. Viele Grünlandflächen werden nur durch den Anreiz hoher Flächenprämien bewirtschaftet. Auf der anderen Seite herrscht eine Knappheit von hochwertigen Proteinfuttermitteln, was zu hohen Importzahlen führt. Die Larve der Hermetia lllucens kann hier ein Puzzlestück sein und eingeschränkt verwertbares Grünlandfutter in hochwertiges, gut verwertbares Proteinfutter umwandeln.
