Objectives
The German Fertilizer Ordinance (DüV) and reduced plant protection (National Action Plan for Plant Protection, NAP) are significantly changing the production techniques used to date and are calling into question the previous efficiency and sustainability of crop cultivation measures, particularly under the conditions of no-till farming. Cultivation strategy trials with relevant cereal species and varieties were carried out at four representative locations in order to map future production conditions and to test their influence on yield and quality.
Objectives
Düngeverordnung (DüV) und reduzierter Pflanzenschutz (Nationaler Aktionsplan Pflanzenschutz, NAP) verändern die bisher angewendete Produktionstechnik wesentlich und stellen die bisherige Effizienz und Nachhaltigkeit von pflanzenbaulichen Maßnahmen insbesondere unter den Bedingungen der pfluglosen Bodenbearbeitung entscheidend in Frage. An vier repräsentativen Standorten wurden Anbaustrategieversuche mit relevanten Getreidearten und -sorten durchgeführt, um die künftigen Produktionsbedingungen
abzubilden und deren Einfluss auf Ertrag und Qualität zu prüfen.
Activities
It has been possible to adapt the various site-specific production processes in such a way that "quality grain" could be produced. The regional value chain is stable as long as no further restrictions are imposed. The expansion of the cultivation spectrum to include new crops (spelt, durum, emmer) and the testing of their suitability for cultivation and processing is forward-looking and takes account of the population's changing eating habits and the demand for more regional food.
Activities
Es ist gelungen, die verschiedenen standortspezifischen Produktionsverfahren so anzupassen, dass „Qualitätsgetreide“ produziert werden konnte. Die regionale Wertschöpfungskette ist stabil, solange keine weitere Einschränkung erfolgt. Die Erweiterung des Anbauspektrums um neue Kulturarten (Dinkel, Durum, Emmer) sowie deren Prüfung auf Anbau- und Verarbeitungseignung ist zukunftsweisend und trägt den veränderten Ernährungsgewohnheiten der Bevölkerung und der Forderung nach mehr Regionalität der Lebensmittel Rechnung.
