Context

As orientações que têm sido seguidas na fileira da “Maçã de Alcobaça” são fruto das convicções que técnicos e produtores têm adquirido em visitas técnicas internacionais às principais zonas concorrentes. Não existindo um modelo coerente, pretende-se recolher conhecimentos específicos sobre a cultura da maçã na região da Indicação Geográfica Protegida (IGP), os quais se pretende que assentem sobre uma base tecnológica e cientifica fortes, de forma a produzir uma matriz de procedimentos e orientações conducentes à generalização de um modelo de pomar mais profissional, nomeadamente, no que respeita às densidades ótimas de plantação e técnicas de poda mais adequadas aos novos modelos de plantação, que permitam regularizar produtividades e maximizar as características organoléticas e riqueza em fitoquímicos das maçãs de Alcobaça, fundamentais para a criação da gama “Premium”.

Objectives

With this project, we intend to innovate product and process, clarifying the guidelines to be followed by the production chain, using a production model that takes advantage of the soil-climatic characteristics of the PGI, different from other regions from where the current models of production have been imported, and that with a differentiated production technology we can create the range of "Premium" Alcobaça apple, oriented to different market segments, namely to export and for national customer with a preference for "Top" ranges.
 

Objectives

Com a realização deste projeto, pretende-se a inovação de produto e de processo, clarificando as orientações a seguir pela fileira, mediante um modelo de produção que tire partido das características edafo-climáticas da IGP, diferentes de outras regiões de onde os atuais modelos de produção têm sido importados, e que permita com uma tecnologia de produção diferenciadora criar a gama de Maçã de Alcobaça “Premium”, orientada para diferentes segmentos de mercado, nomeadamente exportação e cliente nacional com preferência de gamas “Top”.
