Contexte
In their long-term practice, the members of the Future Land Operational Group observe problems with the inefficient management of natural resources related to agriculture, untimely reactions to droughts, frosts, plant diseases, and insufficiently precise farming. This leads to low yields and reduced competitiveness of farms.
With the reduction of human presence in rural areas and the increasing need for quality monitoring of processes, the productivity of farms, which leads to their competitiveness, is extremely dependent on new technologies. Climatic changes which lead to droughts, waterlogging and the appearance of new diseases and plant enemies, require a quick response from farmers. At the same time, unnecessary treatment of soils or plants with preparations can harm the ecosystem, as well as food safety and, accordingly, the healthy lifestyle of the population. We can detect the need for more precision farming, through minimal soil treatments, and optimal treatment of plants against diseases. Types of hydromelioration based on qualitatively analyzed and timely information have to be applied. The farms included in the experimental action were selected in such a way as to give as large a spectrum of agricultural activities as possible. The development of the new Strategy will provide all the basic elements of what should be implemented by farmers as a principal basis of remote monitoring and management.
Objectives
Creating a strategy and methodology for remote control and management in the farm by using data to optimize agricultural tasks; providing efficient, low-cost and centralized storage, computing and communication; gathering information about the functioning of the farm's equipment and resources and making management decisions; performing tasks with efficiency and minimal human labor, machine learning; continuous real-time communication between the farm's physical resources, workers, managers, and computing
Objectives
Activities
A group of field and remote sensing studies of environmental factors will be conducted - water, climate, soils, cultivated plants, through possible available means - aero and satellite measurements, drone mapping, soil analyzes, sensor measurements, which will be integrated into GIS, software products for analysis and machining. Following the analysis, a strategy and methodology will be created for the mass implementation of affordable application for small and medium-sized farmers, for a combination of remote control methods on farms that reduce the need for human intervention.
Activities
Additional comments
The set of project activities will lead to changes in the following measurable indicators:
- Reduction of the number of visits by the farmer or his agronomist in connection with the regular examinations of the condition of the plants and the environment.
- Reduction of processing costs - fuels, fertilizers and preparations, by types of crops.
- Reducing response time to unforeseen situations such as droughts and diseases.
Additional information
To ensure maximum yields through reduced costs, farmers must receive correct and timely information, both about the processes in the field and about various types of restrictions related to their activity, imposed by the support requirements of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), the Program for the Development of Rural Areas (RDP), as well as from the programs of the national budget. The constant presence of specialists in all areas of production in the field is no longer possible, therefore the introduction of remote process monitoring is necessary. Farmers need a lean methodology and a combination of monitoring systems based on detailed information about what is happening on their farms in real time, in coordination with the requirements imposed by legislation, to meet modern demands for competitiveness. This means knowing each other extremely well the physical characteristics in the area of the farm, receiving timely information about changes in environmental factors, as well as tracking all requirements related to support, which will increasingly be tied to environmental protection and the production of clean and safe food. The flows of information are difficult to combine into a single synergy without an appropriate methodology for conducting monitoring and data analysis.

1 Practice Abstracts
During the implementation of the project, a series of field and remote studies of environmental factors - water, climate, soils, cultivated plants - were carried out using accessible methods - aerial (with UAV) and satellite measurements, soil analyzes using traditional methods, sensor climatic and soil measurements, some of them integrated into GIS, analysis and machining software products. After the analysis, a strategy and methodology was created for mass implementation of affordable for small and medium-sized farmers, a combination of methods for remote control of farms to reduce the need for human intervention. This led to a reduction in the number of visits by the farmer or his agronomist in connection with regular inspections of the condition of the plants and the environment. Reduction of processing costs - fuels, fertilizers and preparations. Reducing response time to unforeseen situations such as droughts and disease.
