Objectives
A total concept for a sustainable, healthy pigsty. The focus here is on pig farming because this sector is leading the way in the Netherlands in terms of sustainability. This by:
● reducing the use of antibiotics by creating a healthy and hygienic environment and by increasing the resistance of the animals in a natural way;
● the reduction of the emission of harmful gases, particulate matter and odor;
● to reduce the risk of infectious diseases by spreading through drinking water and air and by increasing the resistance of the animals in a natural way.
Objectives
Een totaalconcept voor een duurzame, gezonde varkensstal. De focus ligt hierbij op de varkenshouderij omdat deze sector in Nederland voorop loopt op het gebied van duurzaamheid. Dit door:
● vermindering van het gebruik van antibiotica door een gezonde en hygiënische leefomgeving te creëren en de weerstand van de dieren op natuurlijke wijze te verhogen;
● de reductie van de emissie van schadelijke gassen, fijnstof en stank;
● een verlaagde kans op infectieziekten door verspreiding via drinkwater en lucht ervan te voorkomen en door de weerstand van de dieren op natuurlijke wijze te verhogen.
Activities
A total concept (HyCare 2.0 genomic) is being developed, consisting of various techniques for water treatment, air cleaning, particulate filtration and monitoring & assurance. These can be used both together and separately. This concept states that it offers the most effective and efficient approach for setting up pig farms that are sustainable and healthy for animals and people.

Er wordt een totaalconcept (HyCare 2.0 genaanmd) ontwikkeld, bestaande uit verschillende technieken voor waterbehandeling, luchtreiniging, fijnstoffiltratie en monitoring & borging. Deze kunnen zowel samen als los ingezet worden. Dit concept stelt dat het de meest effectieve en efficiënte aanpak biedt voor de opzet van voor dier en mens duurzame en gezonde varkensstallen.
Contexte
In de varkenshouderij is de aandacht voor de gezondheid van mens en dier een steeds belangrijker onderwerp. Er zijn 3 risico’s:
● antibioticaresistentie;
● de uitstoot van schadelijke stoffen;
● infectieziekten die van dieren op mensen kunnen worden overgedragen (zoönosen).
