A szakmai együttműködés átfogó célja a hazai nemesnyár gazdálkodás fejlesztésének elősegítése, magas minőségű célválaszték termelését lehetővé tevő termesztéstechnológiai újítások bevezetésével. Ennek érdekében, köztermesztésben lévő, valamint új nemesítésű, ígéretes nemesnyár klónok felhasználásával fajtaösszehasonlító kísérletek létesülnek, melyekben a hazai ültetvényes fatermesztésben még nem alkalmazott termesztéstechnológiai eljárások is tesztelésre kerülnek. Objectives
The overall aim of the professional cooperation is to promote the development of hybrid poplar management in Hungary by introducing such innovations in cultivation technology that enable the production of high-quality veneer logs. To this end, cultivar comparison trials will be set up to compare new promising hybrid poplar clones with well-known hybrid poplar cultivars in growing ability and phenotypical attributes and demonstrate the effect of new cultivation techniques on wood quality simultaneously. The Hungarian hybrid poplar management, which is typically considered extensive, is not conducive to the manufacture of high quality veneer logs needed by the plywood producers, therefore, the Hungarian factories typically rely on imports of first quality logs. The use of new hybrid poplar cultivars, support for the selection of cultivars appropriate to the site and the development of cultivation techniques conducive to the production of high-quality veneer logs could provide a solution to this problem. The present project focuses on these three target areas, involving an institute for breeding and poplar cultivar testing (SOE ERTI) and farmers with considerable experience in poplar production.
A hazai, jellemzően extenzívnek tekinthető nemesnyár gazdálkodás nem kedvez a magas minőségű nyár lemezipari rönk termelésének, így abból a hazai lemez gyártók jellemzően behozatalra szorulnak. Új nemesnyár fajták alkalmazása, a termőhelynek megfelelő fajta kiválasztásának támogatása, valamint a minőségi lemezipari rönk termelését elősegítő termesztéstechnológiai kialakítása nyújthat megoldást e problémára. Jelen projekt e három célterületre összpontosít, nemesítéssel és fajtavizsgálattal foglalkozó intézet (SOE ERTI), valamint nyártermesztés terén komoly tapasztalattal bíró gazdálkodók bevonásával.
