Contexte
Voor de oplossingen van veel problemen in de landbouw zijn experimentele omgevingen nodig, waar onderzoek, toepassing en inbedding gezamenlijk worden uitgevoerd.
De Brabantse Wal, op de grens van Brabantse hooggelegen zandgronden en de lager gelegen Zeeuwse klei, heeft bijzondere aandacht voor de bodem in dit gebied omdat die lijdt onder verzilting, bodemuitputting en –verschraling.
Objectives
A knowledge and experience center on the theme of food (From ground to mouth) and agriculture. A center that is complementary to other centers in and around the delta, especially in the field of soil expertise and earth observation, combined with precision agriculture, innovative cultivation and cultivation methods.

Op de grens van de Delta komt een open agro-innovatiecentrum dat dient voor het (samen) ontwikkelen en testen van vernieuwende primaire en bewerkte landbouwproducten, bodem- en aardobservatie, precisielandbouw en algehele verduurzaming van de sector.
De Hoeve biedt een living-lab omgeving waar vernieuwende producten worden ontwikkeld, geproduceerd, getest en geproefd.
