EU CAP Network cross-visits for EIP-AGRI Operational Groups

EU CAP Network cross-visits are interactive events that bring together farmers, foresters and other members of EIP-AGRI Operational Group projects (OGs) from different Member States working on similar themes. They enable knowledge exchange across Europe, inspire new collaborations, and maximise the potential impact of innovative results generated by OGs.

Cross-visits foster peer-to-peer learning; they provide OG members from multiple Member States with an opportunity to learn from each other's challenges, experiences and successes. Through participatory processes, facilitated discussions, informal exchanges and field trips, participants gain insights into different approaches to tackling common agricultural challenges, strengthening practical knowledge exchange across borders.

Through facilitated sessions, cross-visit participants assess the applicability of the various innovative solutions in their own regions. Such dissemination and exchanges between OGs from many different regions and contexts contribute to the wider adoption of successful practices and innovations across the EU.

OGs are encouraged to discuss common challenges, bottlenecks, and potential solutions during cross-visits through collaborative problem-solving activities. Cross-visits also enable participating OGs to explore the potential for future collaborations, partnerships, and projects. As part of the activities at the event, participants discuss possibilities for building multi-country partnerships around common innovation themes and applying for funding such as Horizon Europe.
