Objectives

The saffron robot will enable automated saffron harvesting. The innovation provides completely new conditions for profitable saffron cultivation, as it replaces the costly labor required for manual harvesting.

Saffransroboten ska möjliggöra automatiserad skörd av saffran. Innovationen ger helt nya förutsättningar för lönsam saffransodling då den ersätter den kostsamma arbetskraften som fordras vid manuell skörd. 

Activities

In early 2019, we filed a patent application to protect the idea. The next step is to build, develop and test the robot in a real environment.
