Objectives

Using toguether drip irrigation systems and nitrification inhibitors will lead to improve the efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer, so crops could use them better and we will able to reduce nitrogen losses, both by deep percolation or by surface drag, and by emissions into the atmosphere

Activities

At first, we are going to test three different treatments: One with only fertilizers, one with fertilizers and DCD and other with fertilizers and DMPP. Rate of growth, losses of fertilizers by deep percolation, nitrogen taken by the crop will be tested during the crop, and at the end of it, the yield of each treatment and its quality. In a second phase, we will test the best treatment in commercial fields.
