Within a flock there is always a substantial variation in the characteristics that influence an animal's production level thus profitability. Identifying and understanding this variation provides opportunities to apply selection pressure, or better inform management decisions throughout the enterprise. Within this framework the farmer uses electronic tagging which allows him through measuring the performance of individual animals to apply decisions specific to reducing costs and labour, while at the same time maximising returns. With the present data logger & handy tool, it it is expected to have more preceise decision making about their flock, farming practices.
Sürü içerisindeki bireylerde verimliliği ve böylelikle karlılığı etkileyen karakter varyasyonları mevcuttur. Bu varyasyonları tanımlamak ve anlamak işletmede daha etkin seleksiyon ve üretime ilişkin kararlar vermeyi olanaklı kılmaktadır. Bu çerçevede anılan uygulamada çiftçi elektronik kulak küpesi kullanarak bireysel olarak hayvanların gözlemlenmesine dayalı maliyet veişgücünü azaltarak karlılığı arttıran karar verme mekanizmaları geliştirmiştir. Çiftçideki mevcut veri kaydı ve küpe okuyucu ile sürü ve üretim uygulamaları ile ilgili daha etkin karar vermektedir.
