Objectives

Improvement of winter wheat growing technology in Latvia by a more effective use of resources and increasing the profit. For this purpose, there will be a support system set up for restriction of winter wheat leaf and ear disease that would be both economically and technologically justified.

Activities

The project activities are classified as follows:

• Assessment of risks factors, associated with spreading of winter wheat diseases and the assessment of fungicide application times and instances, assessment of winter wheat varieties, the impact assessment of fungicide application intensity (different doses and treatment times) on cost efficiency of winter wheat growing and GHG emission volume at different nitrogen application levels;

•Development of the software requirement specifications for the decision-making support system and the project description, preparation of the documentation, preparation of the prototype and functional testing of the internet platform.
