Objectives
Through the combination of the use of a drip irrigation system and sensor-driven information, minerals are precisely and efficiently applied to a potato crop. The saving to be made on input of minerals and therefore also the reduction of emissions of minerals is at least 30%.

Door de combinatie van het gebruik van een druppelirrigatiesysteem en sensor gestuurde informatie worden precies en efficiënt mineralen toegediend aan een aardappelgewas. De te realiseren besparing op input mineralen en dus ook te realiseren emissiebeperking van mineralen ligt op minimaal 30%.

In een perceel aardappelen worden diverse varianten van bemesting toegepast. Een aantal van de varianten zijn gebaseerd op het toedienen van mineralen via de druppelslangen (fertigatie)
Context
Bemesting wordt veelal onnauwkeurig uitgevoerd, waardoor meststoffen uitspoelen naar het grond- en oppervlaktewater. De bemesting van aardappelen veroorzaakt emissies van mineralen, door zowel uitspoeling als afspoeling naar grond en oppervlaktewater. Niet alle toegediende mineralen worden door het gewas opgenomen.
