With the use of the Vortex, the ammonium can be extracted from animal manure at a lower cost. The reduction can be up to 40% on the lye costs.

Met de inzet van de Vortex kan tegen lagere kosten de ammonium uit dierlijke mest worden gehaald. De reductie kan oplopen tot 40% op de loog kosten.
Activities
The stripping of manure is an innovative technique that makes an advance, especially in Gelderland, and is being worked on in the Kunstmest Vrije Achterhoek project. In this project the manure will be pre-treated by means of a patented process so that less lye needs to be used.

Het strippen van mest is een innovatieve techniek die vooral in Gelderland een opmars maakt en binnen het project Kunstmest Vrije Achterhoek wordt hier aan gewerkt. In dit project zal middels een gepatenteerd proces de mest voorbewerkt worden zodat er minder loog gebruikt hoeft te worden.
Context
Het probleem van het strippen van mest (stikstof/ammoniak uit de dierlijke mest halen en toepassen als kunstmest) zorgen voor hogere toegerekende kosten.
