Objectives
The trend towards vegetarian/vegan products is clearly noticeable. However, the current offerings do not enjoy the best reputation, because soya is often processed from overseas, a lot of synthetically produced flavors and additives are used and the taste usually leaves something to be desired. The project 'VeggieFood from Thuringia' tackles precisely these weaknesses: The raw material base is made up of native large-grained legumes and the processing takes place on the basis of a long Thuringian tradition in the production of artisanal sausages, which will be reflected in various tastes that are appropriate to the customer's wishes.

Allerdings genießen die aktuellen Angebote nicht den besten Ruf, weil oft Soja aus Übersee verarbeitet wird, sehr viele synthetisch hergestellte Geschmacks- und Zusatzstoffe verwendet werden und der Geschmack in der Regel zu wünschen übrig lässt. Das Projekt 'VeggieFood aus Thüringen' setzt genau an diesen Schwachstellen an: Die Rohstoffbasis bilden einheimische großkörnige Leguminosen und die Verarbeitung findet auf der Basis langer Thüringer Tradition bei der handwerklichen Wurstherstellung statt, was sich in verschiedenen, den Kundenwünschen entsprechenden Geschmacksrichtungen niederschlagen wird.
