Traditional Sports and Games as Living Rural Heritage

Résumé

LAG FRANKOPAN is interested in developing a cooperation project focused on preserving and promoting traditional sports and games as living rural heritage. The project would connect LAGs, local communities, schools, sports clubs, cultural associations and municipalities in order to document traditional sports, exchange good practices, organise intergenerational workshops and local events, and develop joint educational and promotional materials. The cooperation would support active and healthy lifestyles, participation of children and young people, social cohesion, local identity and sustainable rural tourism. By linking sport, heritage and community development, the project would contribute to the visibility of rural areas and create a transferable model for safeguarding traditional games and sports across different European rural territories.

Type of Partner

LAG FRANKOPAN is looking for partner LAGs and rural development organisations interested in preserving traditional sports and games as part of local heritage and community identity. Suitable partners may include LAGs, municipalities, schools, sports clubs, cultural associations, heritage organisations, tourism stakeholders and NGOs working with children, young people, local communities or intergenerational activities. Partners should be interested in documenting traditional sports, exchanging good practices, organising local events and workshops, and developing joint educational or promotional materials. Experience in LEADER/CLLD cooperation, rural heritage, community events, youth participation, active lifestyles or sustainable rural tourism would be an added value.
