Youth Leader – Rural Youth Exchange
Résumé
This cooperation idea comes from Youth Action Groups of two LAGs in Finnish Lapland: Peräpohjolan Leader and Koillismaan Leader. Young people from these groups are interested in being actively involved in planning and implementing an international youth-led project from the very beginning, and in learning together with youth groups from another country.
Youth Action Groups are groups of 13–25-year-old young people working under local LAGs in Finlands. Their role is to take part in rural development, represent young people’s voices, and decide on Youth Leader funds applied for by their peers.
The Finnish participants want to share their experiences as young rural actors and learn how youth participation and youth-led initiatives work in other countries.
