The Atlas of Rural Beauty – Stories and Portraits of the Countryside
Résumé
The project is a collaborative initiative aimed to preserve the cultural identity and stories of rural women across partner regions.Coordinated by LAG Napoca Porolissum with active involvement from partner LAGs, the project combines management and coordination with community engagement, artistic documentation, and digital dissemination.Beginning with local consultations to identify and portray women from diverse rural backgrounds, it progresses to an intergenerational photography camp that fosters storytelling, cultural exchange, and traditional skills workshops. The outcomes will be showcased through a dynamic digital portal, a beautifully photo album, and an international exhibition featuring a traditional costume parade.Further, an educational package will be developed to promote local identity among schoolchildren.Through photography and storytelling, the project fosters intergenerational dialogue, rural inclusion and cultural preservation across European rural communities.
