Nature-based solutions

Integrating nature-based solutions for water efficiency, quality and ecosystem services

Nature-based solutions (NBS) are solutions that are inspired and supported by nature that help farmers manage water more effectively. They improve water availability and quality, as well as water-use efficiency, reduce flood risks, and protect soils. These solutions are cost-effective and deliver environmental, social and economic benefits. They also help to build resilience and contribute to good water governance, whilst promoting biodiversity and supporting a range of ecosystem services.
