Agrinnovation magazine - Issue 12

With a focus on innovation, knowledge exchange and EIP-AGRI, this twelfth edition of the yearly Agrinnovation magazine features inspiring stories on how innovation and collaboration can support generational renewal and unlock opportunities for young, retiring, or new farmers in EU agriculture, forestry, and rural areas. It offers solutions to tackle common issues such as access to land, credit, knowledge and skills, and farm transfer.

This issue zooms in on EIP-AGRI Operational Groups, Horizon multi-actor projects, and other innovative initiatives that are exploring solutions to empower young farmers and new entrants to farming, support retiring farmers in the process of farm succession, safeguard mental well-being, and boost skills to be equipped for thriving farming careers. It highlights step-by-step guidelines for new entrants into farming, projects that foster solutions for successful farm succession, and business incubators as a way to nurture necessary skills.

In addition, Agrinnovation gives a round-up of EU CAP Network Focus Groups, touches upon the European Commission’s new Strategy for Generational Renewal in Agriculture, and highlights young voices from the field. The publication highlights digital tools to capture and share knowledge from the artisanal cheese supply chain, and spotlights female access to farming.
