1 Practice Abstracts

Black leaf rot (Stemphylium vesicarium) in pear is a major problem in pear growing in Zeeland, as no good advice can be given at present on how to control this fungal disease. The project examines strategies (less chemistry, biological control and warning model) and tests them in practice to keep pear growing economically viable and sustainable.

Zwartvruchtrot (Stemphylium vesicarium) bij peer is een groot probleem in de perenteelt in Zeeland, omdat op dit moment geen goede adviezen kunnen worden gegeven hoe deze schimmelziekte te beheersen. In het project worden strategieën onderzocht (minder chemie, biologische bestrijding en waarschuwingsmodel) onderzocht en in de praktijk getoetst om de perenteelt economisch rendabel en duurzaam te houden.
