Result 5: Implementation of a Livestock Test Space in Terra Alta
The main outcome of this action was the construction of an agricultural test space in the municipality of Gandesa. The livestock test space in Gandesa is focused on a goat herd with a meat production orientation, consisting of 150 goats and 6 male goats. The methodological support approach from the Methodological Guide was used, which culminated in the signing of an agreement between 5 local entities. This agreement outlines the tasks of each entity and establishes one as the coordinator of the agricultural test space.
At the beginning of 2024, one tester joined the Gandesa agricultural test space, carrying out silvopasture with the herd, which also serves the dual purpose of wildfire prevention, for which they receive environmental services payments from the local town hall.
**RECOMMENDATIONS**: The recommendation related to PA5 is applicable to this result. Additionally, the proposal for a methodology applied to the various ETAs is highly recommended, as it allows for the easy sharing of experiences, needs, and achievements with other ETAs under development. At all times, there is a clear vision of the milestones achieved and those yet to be reached, and it facilitates the search for alliances and resources for and from the territory. Furthermore, selecting projects that are suitable for installation is one of the key challenges for the proper functioning of ETAs.
Moreover, there is a territorial benefit due to the synergies that emerge between the partner entities involved in the ETA. Finally, the creation of an ETA with the involvement of a shepherds' school fosters optimal support and mentoring dynamics, and may generate new projects related to agricultural succession.
Resutado 5: Implementación de un Espacio Test Ganadero en Terra Alta
El resultado principal de esta actuación fue la construcción de un espacio test agrario en el municipio de Gandesa. El espacio test ganadero de Gandesa está orientado a un rebaño caprino, con una producción cárnica con un rebaño de 150 cabras y 6 sementales. Se utilizó la propuesta metodológica de acompañamiento de la Guía metodológica que culminó con la firma de un convenio entre 5 entidades del territorio, que regula las tareas de cada entidad y establece una entidad coordinadora del espacio test agrario.
A inicios del 2024 se incorpora 1 téster al espacio test agrario de Gandesa llevando a cabo el silvopastoreo del rebaño, con el beneficio y acción de prevención de incendios y por el cual recibe un pago por servicios ambientales por parte del propio ayuntamiento.
RECOMENDACIONES: La recomendación referente a la PA5 es aplicable a este resultado. Por otra parte, la propuesta de una metodología aplicada a los diversos ETAs también es altamente recomendable ya que permite compartir fácilmente experiencias, necesidades y logros con otros ETAs en construcción. En todo momento se tiene una visión clara de los hitos que se han conseguido y que faltan, y facilita la búsqueda de alianzas y recursos del y para el territorio. Por otra parte es importante hacer una selección de proyectos que se adecúen a la instalación es uno de los retos en el buen funcionamiento de los ETAs. Existe, además, un beneficio territorial debido a las sinergias que surgen entre las entidades colaboradoras del ETA. Finalmente, la creación de un ETA con la participación de una escuela de pastores crea unas dinámicas de apoyo y acompañamiento óptimas y puede generar nuevos proyectos relacionados con el relevo agrario.
