Result 4: Implementation of a Livestock Test Space in Cáceres
The main outcome of this action was the construction of a test space—an experimental farm in Casar de Cáceres for a dairy-oriented goat herd with a capacity of 200 goats. This is combined with a flock of 60 sheep, along with all the necessary infrastructure for milking and improving livestock management. To drive the livestock test space, a leadership group was defined, led by the Cooprado Foundation and the Cooprado Cooperative, responsible for the three functions set for agricultural test spaces.
In 2021, the first tester joined the project. Currently, there are 2 testers at this agricultural test space.
**RECOMMENDATIONS**: Creating livestock infrastructure is a highly complex task, so it is recommended to have a technical proposal that considers potential delays in the processing of various administrative approvals. The processing of permits, technical reports, construction work, etc., is subject to numerous external variables that may make timely implementation difficult. It is also important to work in parallel on the physical construction and the setup of the support system for the agricultural test space to improve the project’s execution timeline. The incorporation of the tester was delayed due to COVID. However, 4 young people from subsequent cohorts of the COOPRADO Shepherds’ School have served as testers for the ETA. Beyond the benefits for the students of the school and ETA users, there is a territorial benefit due to the collaboration between the partner entities.
Resultado 4: Implementación de un Espacio Test Ganadero en Cáceres
El resultado principal de esta actuación fue la construcción de un espacio test- granja experimental en Casar de Cáceres para un rebaño caprino con orientación lechera con una capacidad de 200 cabras. Este se combina con un rebaño de 60 ovejas con toda la infrastructura necesaria para el ordeño y la mejora del manejo ganadero. Para la dinamización del espacio test ganadero, se ha definido un grupo motor liderado por la Fundación Cooprado y la Cooperativa Cooprado que se encargan de las tres funciones previstas en los espacios test agrarios.
En 2021 se incorpora el primer téster en el proyecto. Actualmente hay 2 personas tester en este espacio test agrario.
RECOMENDACIONES: La creación de una insfrastructura ganadera es una tarea altamente compleja por lo que se recomienda que exista una propuesta tècnica valorando los posibles retrasos en las tramitaciones a distintos niveles de la administración. La tramitación de permisos, informes técnicos, ejecución de obra, etc, está sujeta a múltiples variables externas a la obra que pueden hacer inviable su implementación a tiempo. También es necesario trabajar en paralelo la construcción física y la puesta en marcha del dispositivo de acompañamiento del espacio test agrario para mejorar el tiempo de ejecución del proyecto. Se retrasó la incorporación del tester debido a la COVID. Aún así 4 jovenes de las sucesivas anualidades de la Escuela de Pastores de COOPRADO han sido tésters del ETA. Mas allá del beneficio para los alumnos de la esculea y los usuarios del ETA, hay un beneficio territorial debido a la colaboración entre las entidades colaboradoras.
