To facilitate the introduction of a potentially very interesting new material such as Paulownia wood, it was necessary to demonstrate its use on an industrial level. The action defined industrial products in solid wood or derivatives in which this material can find interesting developments. the material for the manufacture of products or semi-finished products was then tested and the industrial yields were verified and finally the creation and characterization of a certain number of prototypes.
The possibility of directing processing waste to industrial processes that can enhance it was also verified. During the implementation of the industrial tests, provision was also made for the collection of basic information on the industrial processes functional to the calculation of the carbon footprint of the products.
Accomplished results:
• Creation of prototypes of new products with high added value and high carbon storage capacity;

Per facilitare l’introduzione di un nuovo materiale potenzialmente molto interessante come il legno di Paulownia si è resa necessaria la dimostrazione del suo utilizzo a livello industriale. L’azione ha definito i prodotti industriali in legno massiccio o i derivati nei quali questo materiale possa trovare interessanti sviluppi. e' stato quindi testato il materiale per la fabbricazione di prodotti o semilavorati e si è provveduto alla verifica delle rese industriali e infine alla realizzazione e caratterizzazione di un certo numero di prototipi.
E' stata verificata inoltre la possibilità di indirizzare gli scarti di lavorazione a processi industriali che possano valorizzarli. Durante la realizzazione dei test industriali si è provveduto anche alla raccolta delle informazioni di base sui processi industriali funzionali al calcolo della carbon footprint dei prodotti.
Risultati raggiunti:
• Realizzazione di prototipi di nuovi prodotti ad elevato valore aggiunto e ad elevata capacità di stoccaggio del carbonio;
