‘EIP-AGRI-challenge’ videos: discover how challenges in the field are tackled
Six videos showcasing innovative farms and projects from across Europe
The EU CAP Network has produced six EIP-AGRI Challenges over the past year, showcasing innovative farms and projects from six European countries: Romania, Poland, France, Denmark, Spain and the Netherlands.
These videos feature testimonials from farmers, foresters and rural communities, highlighting the challenges they face and the innovative solutions they have developed to address them.
The aim is to inspire and provide solutions to other European farmers, supporting the transition to more productive and sustainable agriculture, forestry and rural areas.
All EIP-AGRI Challenge videos were produced within the context of EU CAP Network events, focusing on innovation, knowledge exchange and EIP-AGRI.

- EIP-AGRI Challenge – Competitive and resilient mountain areas. Romanian farmer Dan Neag owns a small farm within the Apuseni Natural Park's territory. Dan, a traditional cattle breeder, shares his firsthand experience as a farmer in a protected area, discussing the challenges, opportunities and innovative approaches he applies. This video was made during the field visits of the second meeting of the Focus Group 'Competitive and resilient mountain areas' in Romania.
- EIP-AGRI Challenge – Women-led innovations in agriculture and rural areas. Anna Sitek, a lavender farmer from Poland, has been actively involved in agriculture since 2015. In this video, she shares challenges and opportunities in lavender farming and how she integrates traditional and modern methods. - EIP-AGRI Challenge – Crop associations including Milpa and protein crops. In France, Émilie Combebiac and Martin Helmas are testing new crop mixtures and comparing the impact on soil fertility and crop quality. - EIP-AGRI Challenge – Regenerative agriculture for soil health. Frederik Vilhelm Larsen is an arable farmer from Denmark applying the main principles that underpin regenerative agriculture. These include minimising soil disturbance, maintaining healthy crop rotations and protecting their soils from erosion and severe weather. - EIP-AGRI Challenge – Circular water management. How can farmers tackle drought and water scarcity? In this EIP-AGRI Challenge video, Marco Román Escalona, a vegetable producer from Spain, shares how his company maximises the value of every drop of water. - EIP-AGRI Challenge – Smart tech in orchards. Sander Verstegen runs a fruit company in the Netherlands.
