First of a series of webinars organised between EAAP and the CoCo Horizon project, on the interactions between wildlife and pastoralism.
The CoCo project (co-creating coexistence) brings together different kinds of knowledge - from science, traditional practices, and personal experiences - to help people and wildlife thrive side by side. We want to transform an entrenched conflict to a future state where pastoralism is valued and viable and enabled to coexist with wildlife in multi-functional landscapes. The diverse European team, including a range of scientific partners and stakeholders, will use this collective expertise as a basis for developing policy recommendations and tools for practitioners. These will support sustainable coexistence in shared multi-functional landscapes. The European Federation of Animal Science EAAP, a CoCo partner, has been delivering programs on animal science for over 70 years.
Their webinar series aims to inform, update, and disseminate with high-profile speakers the EAAP individual members. The 31st EAAP Webinar titled Speaking to farmers and shepherds about livestock depredation is organised in collaboration with the CoCo project.
