The 7th National Networks (NNs) Meeting, jointly organised by the EU CAP Network and the Maltese National Network, took place on 25 and 26 March 2026 in Mellieħa, Malta.

Main objectives of the meeting:

  • To collaboratively explore how the networking activities at the EU and national level can enhance the resilience of rural areas and communities to climate change (i.e. ability to anticipate, cope and recover from negative impacts caused by climate change, e.g. by enhancing eco-system services and promoting sustainable use of resources, diversifying livelihoods, strengthening local knowledge or climate-smart infrastructure or technologies). A special focus will be on water resilience.
  • To foster exchange of good practices, peer-to-peer learning and capacity building of the NNs on their work related to increasing climate resilience in rural areas.
  • To provide an update on networking activities at the European and national level.
  • To introduce and discuss the revised communication strategy of the EU CAP Network, outlining its strategic rationale and objectives, and to engage National Networks in an exchange on their role and contribution in its implementation.
