Join us in Padua, Italy, 17–19 March 2026, for the 3rd European Carbon Farming Summit. The call for contributions is now open — share your expertise to help shape Europe’s carbon farming future.

The 3rd European Carbon Farming Summit will take place from 17–19 March 2026 at the Padua Congress Centre in Padua, Italy.

Organised by Climate KIC and SAE Innova as part of the Project Credible consortium, and co-hosted by EIT Food (as LILAS4SOILS coordinator) and Confagricoltura Veneto, with support from Veneto Agricoltura, the Summit will bring together the leading voices shaping Europe’s carbon farming future. Following the success of the 2025 edition in Dublin, which focused on practical implementation, this year’s Summit aims to bridge science, policy, and practice — turning recommendations into concrete proposals. We invite contributions that will help move carbon farming from local projects to European-scale policy action.

Submissions are welcome as poster presentations, oral presentations, workshops, or full sessions (e.g. panels with multiple speakers). The call is open until Friday, 31 October 2025 (EOD). We particularly welcome contributions connected to one or more of the following themes:

  • Finance and investment – unlocking funding and business models to scale carbon farming.
  • Real-world project examples – sharing experiences and results from implemented carbon farming initiatives.
  • MRV approaches – building systems that are rigorous yet practical.
  • Ownership and claims – clarifying rights from farmers to certificate buyers.
  • Beyond carbon – highlighting social and environmental co-benefits.

Submit your contribution here: https://www.carbonfarmingsummit.eu/call-for-contributions. Your expertise helps shape the Summit — and the future of carbon farming in Europe.
